Labor Day 2004, Park Hill and Douwe Bruinsma

tackled the infamous Blanca Peak...

Blanca has been rated as a 9 on a scale of 1-10, they proved it can

be done in a Pinz!

Surveying the first obstacle, Jaws 1.

As Park lines up for Jaws 1, it looks like Douwe's trying to get Park closer to the edge!

This view gives you an idea of how tippy it is.

At Jaws 2, note the plaque on the rock, this is the site that claimed a life a couple years back. The Forest Service modfied the obstacle after the accident.

Another angle, lots of looking over obstacles on this trip!

Douwe's turn!

Park at Jaws 2.5.

At Jaws 3 Park points the left front towards the sky, Douwe check for fluid leaks.

Park always knows a good place to take a break!

I wonder what his tilt meter was reading?

This is the reward at the end of the trail, a great lunch spot.

Oh well, time to start heading down.
